Getting started

What is Strucxis and who is it for?

Strucxis is a bilingual (English/French) field inspection platform for civil engineers, structural inspectors, contractors, and municipal teams. It guides you through 83 structured questions about a concrete structure and produces a formatted PDF report.

It is a documentation tool. The reports are preliminary visual inspections and do not replace a stamped engineering assessment by a licensed professional engineer.

How do I create an account?

Public sign-up is closed during private beta. To get access, book a demo — we review every request manually and approve eligible professionals within 1–2 business days.

Each approved demo lasts 30 days and is renewable once. After that, contact us about a paid plan.

Which devices and browsers are supported?

Strucxis runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox — on desktop, tablet, and mobile. The form is designed to work on a phone on-site, with auto-save so you never lose progress.

The inspection form & reports

Are my drafts saved if I close the browser?

Yes. Drafts auto-save every 1.5 seconds — locally on the device and on our server. You can pick up exactly where you left off from any device signed in with the same account.

How many photos can I attach per defect?

You can attach multiple photos per defect. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC. Each photo is automatically cropped to a consistent size for the PDF.

Can I annotate photos with arrows or labels?

Yes — every uploaded photo has an Annotate button that opens an editor where you can draw, add arrows, circles, lines, and text. Annotations are saved alongside the original photo.

What languages do reports support?

Reports generate in either English or French based on the language toggle at the top-right of the form. All UI strings, field labels, defect names, and disclaimers are fully translated.

Can I edit a report after generating the PDF?

Not yet — once the PDF is generated, the report is final. If you need a correction, you currently need to generate a new report. Editable past reports are on our roadmap.

Demo access

How long does demo access last?

Each approved demo grants 30 days of full access. You can request a second (and final) demo if your first one expires.

I forgot my access code — what now?

The access code is unique and not recoverable. Request a new one using the email you signed up with and we'll send a fresh code.

My demo ended. Can I get a new one?

Yes — once per email, you can request a second demo from the Book a Demo page. After the second demo expires, we'd love to chat about a paid plan.

Data & privacy

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. Connections use TLS. We don't sell, share, or look at your inspection data.

Can I export everything I've created?

Yes. Go to Account → Data to download a JSON export of your profile, all reports, and metadata. Photos can be downloaded individually from each report.

How do I delete my account?

In Account → Profile, scroll to the bottom for the Delete account option. Your reports and uploaded photos are removed from active systems immediately. Backups may retain the data for up to 30 days as a safeguard against accidental deletion.

Are my reports private?

Yes — every report is owned by the user who created it. We enforce server-side ownership checks on every download. No one but you can access your reports.

Billing

How much does Strucxis cost?

Strucxis is currently free during private beta. Paid plans are coming. Existing demo users will get advance notice and a grace period before any paywall is enabled.

Will my data be deleted when the free beta ends?

No. Your reports stay accessible. If you choose not to upgrade, you'll still be able to download what you've already generated.

Troubleshooting

I can't log in — what's wrong?

Possible causes, in order of frequency:

  1. Your demo has expired — book a renewal.
  2. You're using the wrong email — verify against your approval email.
  3. The access code was retyped wrong — codes are case-sensitive.
  4. Your account is disabled — contact us.
PDF generation failed — what should I do?

Refresh the form page (your draft is auto-saved) and try generating again. If it still fails:

  1. Check that every photo has finished uploading (look for the green checkmark).
  2. Reduce photo file sizes if any are over 10 MB.
  3. Try a different browser if you're on a very old one.
  4. Contact support with the report name and date — we keep server logs and can usually pinpoint the cause.
The page won't load — what should I do?

Hard-refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac). If that doesn't work, try a private/incognito window. If the problem persists, our system status will be shown on the homepage during incidents.
